In order to support groups that are involved in the organization and preparation of international projects in the best possible way, NWB offers compulsory training for all of its volunteers. For the 2020-2021 year, the training will be held on October 2, 3 and 4, 2020 at the Notre-Dame-de-Fatima Center, located on Île-Perrot in the western suburbs of Montreal. This training is essential for a quality preparation, stay and return.
Friday (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) is mainly intended for group leaders, volunteer guides and anyone interested in workshops on logistics and group management (security and emergency measures, NWB protocols, etc.) and on the clinical approach adapted to supervisors.
Training for all volunteers will start on Friday at 6 p.m. The themes presented will be: logistical aspects, clinical environments, travel health, culture shock and return shock, several pathologies frequently encountered in these specific environments, the clinical approach in the context of limited medical resources, eco-responsibility, etc. These high-quality workshops will be led by speakers who are experts in their fields.
